Greyhound of the Month - November 2017

Greyhound of the month for November was the Ken Gill trained Windmill Haze who had a terrific month of racing with 3 wins from his 5 starts highlighted by his strong win in the Group 3 Gawler Gold Cup.

The son of Barcia Bale and Contrary Mary started the month of with the Group 3 victory at Gawler. After winning his heat he drew box 1 in the final and was able to kick through and lead on the first turn. From there he went on to score a fabulous win for connections. He then won at headquarters over the 515m before stepping up to the middle distance. He was surprisingly beaten as a short priced favourite into second spot but made amends the following week over the 600m in wining by over 2 lengths. His last start for the month was an unplaced performance in open company over the 515m at headquarters. 

At the end of the month Windmill Haze’s record stands at 43 starts with 17 wins and 12 placings with earnings just over $56,000.
