GAP SA Assessments

In the wake of a number of confirmed cases of acute Canine Gastroenteritis in South Australian greyhound racing kennels, GAP SA is working with GRSA to take precautionary measures to reduce the risk of spread of the virus.

Until further notice GAP SA is suspending all first point greyhound assessments and foster handovers, in addition to upcoming foster and adoption events. Green collar assessments will still be taking place. Symptoms consistent with the Gastroenteritis include vomiting, diarrhoea, elevated temperature, lethargy and loss of appetite. Greyhound welfare remains a focus for us and GAP SA will continue to work with GRSA and trainers to provide updates to our community on this situation as it evolves.
