Angle Park Slipping Track – The Key Questions

How do I get access to the slipping track?

Industry participants can contact the GRSA administration office and arrange to receive a keyfob (an electronic key tag) which will allow for access to the trainers car park through a swipe pad near the entrance gate.

Is there a cost to have access?

Use of the track will be free and available to all registered participants who have obtained a keyfob from the GRSA administration office.

When can I use the slipping track?

The Slipping Track can only be used during daylight hours and will be closed during race meetings and trial sessions, normally:

·         On Mondays from 4pm

·         On Tuesdays from 7pm

·         On Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm

·         On Thursdays from 4pm

·         On Saturdays from 7am to 10am

Can I use my own drag lure?

Participants are able to use GRSA approved drag lures. If you are unsure whether your drag lure is approved, please contact the Stewards Department.

Are there any conditions of use?

Greyhounds must be emptied prior to accessing the slipping track and trainers are required to clean up after their greyhounds whilst on the track.

Will use of the track be monitored?

The slipping track will be under 24 hour recorded CCTV surveillance and access into and out of the trainers car park will be monitored and recorded.

Rules of Use

1. Any direction or instruction given by a Greyhound Racing SA staff member must be adhered to immediately
2. Driving at high speed beside the slipping track is prohibited, violation of this rule will result in immediate cancellation of usage rights
3. Upon request, registered participants will be issued with a keyfob which will provide after-hours access into the trainers carpark to use the Slipping Track (lost cards will incur a $20.00 replacement fee)
4. The keyfob is to be used exclusively by each participant and must not be transferred. Any violation of this rule will result in the participants losing their rights to use the track
5. Please respect your fellow participants and keep usage time to a minimum. Ensure you put your name on the blackboard supplied to avoid queue hopping
6. The Slipping Track can only be used during daylight hours
7. The Slipping Track will be closed during race meetings and trial sessions:
 On Mondays from 4pm
 On Tuesdays from 7pm
 On Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm
 On Thursdays from 4pm
 On Saturdays from 7am to 10am
8. Greyhounds must be emptied before entering the track in the area designated as ‘Greyhound Empty Yard’, located on the south side of the trainers carpark
9. Participants will be responsible for cleaning up after their greyhounds at all times, violation of this rule will result in immediate cancellation of usage rights
10. Use of any live animal, animal carcass or any part of an animal to entice, excite or encourage a greyhound is prohibited under the rules of racing and punishable by disqualification for a period of not less than 10 years
11. Participants are able to use GRSA approved drag lures, however please exercise caution to ensure the sprinkler system is not damaged during their operation
12. Violation of any of these Rules at any time will result in that participant losing their swipe card permanently
